“Jeg var jo den heldige vinder af konkurrencen om et Mindstrain forløb og jeg kan kun sige, at har du ikke allerede booket en tid hos Jytte, så skal du se at få det gjort! 

Jeg var egentlig i den tro, at jeg ikke havde behov for et forløb, så min første tanke var faktisk, om jeg ikke skulle lade det gå videre til en, som måske var/er mere trængende… Jeg er jo ikke stresset og har heller “tanke-mylder” og forøvrigt, så har jeg selv tidligere været i, hvad jeg troede var et tilsvarende forløb og jeg har også selv deltaget i en del kurser.

MEN allerede efter den 1. session hos Jytte, fandt jeg ud af, at det er det helt rigtige tidspunkt at starte et forløb, da jeg har meget mere overskud til, at få placeret og brugt min nye viden og derved være på forkant når jeg igen begynder, at få tanke-mylder eller søvnløse nætter.

Jytte er meget åben, imødekommende og yderst professionel også har hun altså en helt utrolig evne til, at kommunikere sine budskaber på en forståelig og meget empatisk måde!

Jeg kan kun sige, tak, tak og atter TAK og rigtig god fornøjelse til alle jer, som enten allerede er i gang eller skal starte i et forløb hos Jytte!

You are my “Friendly brain teacher” ;-), meaning

 

  • friendly (I felt good in your session and lost my nervousness about the subject)
  • relatable (You remained a “human being” during the session, meaning you can laugh about comments or admit if something is new i.e. running the session in english)
  • teacher
  • methodical (You took something complicated and explained it in a way that makes sense and is easy to grasp (and you have more than one example for it – heja Richard Feynman;-))
  • clear language (links with above point on method, You spoke to the point, so I could understand the why and what of the topic)
  • fact based (You had them and You linked them to the bigger picture)
  • illustrative (You used not just words but also writing/drawing/illustration to explain, i.e. the drawing helped me a lot to understand and act upon it)
  • engaging (You involved me during the session, which made it a nice mix of listening and exercise)
  • following a “red thread” (You dove with structure into the session and it therefore also had this effect on me as a receipient, it felt consistent and logical)
  • further practise, outlook (You gave me homework to apply and manifest what we´ve talked)

I chose teacher as a word because for me that is a person that instead of simply providing one solution or advice does provide a deeper understanding or a concept that then can be applied

and practised on all sorts of situation…..

 

What I took away from the first session was:

Empty the washing machine!

My main aha moment from the session was actually how enjoyable it was. I might have to explain that a bit here for you to understand;-). Although coaching in our days is way more accepted and integrated into our day to day life or work environment in my perception of it it still remained as something where I would have go to, have to shed my skins, receive feedback and then would get a bunch of tasks for me to work through – all in all helpful but same time also quite a piece of work when having the lamp light on your head and having to formulate whatever specific problem or issue or situation led you to see a coach in the first place.

When diving in the session into the brain and the neurocognitive functions I actually had the immediate sensation of learning something new plus being able to zoom out from whatever situation/problem I had at start to see the bigger picture. With that then came the understanding of the natural ability and limitation of our brain which really hit home for me to actually now start a type of “housekeeping” for it. Being further able to differentiate between a worrying stimulation linking to the past and an emotional sensation linking to the future was really new to me, and categorising that properly remains an exercise for me. Also, I am actually now trying to really take a couple of minutes in the evening to sort through what I accumulated during the day. Whenever I experience a major moment of stress I try to not wait that long but rather do that immediately.

I however will have to work further on that in order to transform it into a habit.
